The surroundings of The Kempen Forest Cabin offer vast forests, heathlands, fens and quiet country roads. Various hiking trails let you explore the landscape, from short loops to longer treks. Highlights nearby (distance from the cabin):

  • Neterselsche Heide (3 km) & Landschotse Heide (5 km) – wet heathland, birch forests and rare birds.

  • Estate De Utrecht (6 km) – large nature reserve with lakes, heath and meadows.

  • Annanina’s Rust (6 km) – spot birds and unique plants while hiking.

  • Estate Wellenseind (11 km) – stream forests, wooden boardwalks, old lanes.

  • Cartierheide & Nature Gate TerSpegelt (18 km) – perfect start for forest and heathland hikes.

  • Kabouterpad TerSpegelt – a playful trail for children.

  • De Malpie (25 km) – boardwalks, silence, and natural beauty.

The Brabant region is ideal for cycling, with both paved and unpaved routes through diverse landscapes. From The Kempen Forest Cabin you can reach unique viewpoints and historic spots. Popular routes:

  • The quietest part of the Netherlands – 45 km through the Brabantse Kempen.

  • Tilburg Monastery Trail – 43 km of nature, villages and the city, starting at La Trappe Abbey.

  • Gravel bike loops – north loop 67 km, south loop 52 km, long route 98 km.
